Teaching Assistant with BSL

This Ofsted "Good" secondary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who holds a Level 1, 2 or 3 in British Sign Language to provide 1-2-1 support for a student.
This role requires a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting young people with hearing impairments and is confident in their ability to communicate via BSL. You will be communicating with both staff and students, providing in class support, and providing regular feedback to the SENCO. Job Role:
- Utilising BLS (British Sign Language) to communicate with and support a student with hearing impairments.
- Acting as a Teaching Assistant, providing academic support in lessons.
- Communicating effectively with the class teachers to ensure the students is supported
- Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions where required.
- Liaising with the child’s parents to provide feedback and updates.
