A Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator is required for a large steel processing company based in the Wednesbury / Darlaston area.
You will be responsible for moving steel around the workplace, operating overhead cranes & counterbalance forklift trucks and loading / unloading machinery including slitting lines, de-coilers and more.
Your steel operative duties will include;
- Operating overhead cranes
- Driving counterbalance forklift trucks
- Handling steel including coil and sheet
- Loading and unloading machinery / vehicles
- Picking / packing and banding up processed steel
You will be working two DAY shifts rotating weekly;
6:00am - 2:00pm (1:00pm Fridays) / 8:00am - 4:00pm (3:00pm Fridays).
Hours are working Monday to Friday, totalling 39 hours per week.
This role pays £12.11 per hour.
This Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator role is a temp-to-perm position with a probationary period through the agency. They are looking for permanent members of staff for the long term.
