HGV Class 2 Driver - Roll on Roll off

Job Description:
- Safely operate the HGV 2 Roll-On Roll-Off Skip vehicle to transport metal waste to recycling centers and other designated locations.
- Load, transport, and unload roll-on roll-off skips to and from customer sites, ensuring the skips are correctly secured and positioned for safe transportation.
- Perform routine checks on the vehicle, including tire pressure, oil levels, and ensuring the skip equipment is in good working order. Report any mechanical issues to the Transport Manager.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies in the metal recycling industry. Ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times during loading, unloading, and driving operations.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, ensuring all services are delivered on time and to the expected standard.
Key Requirements:
- HGV 2 Licence: Valid Category C (HGV 2) driving license with CPC qualification.
- Roll-On Roll-Off Experience: Previous experience operating roll-on roll-off skip vehicles or similar vehicles is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of driving HGV vehicles, ideally within the waste or metal recycling industries.
- Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Strong understanding of road safety and environmental regulations, with an ability to apply this knowledge to day-to-day operations.
- Ability to lift and move heavy loads when necessary and manage manual handling tasks safely.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the metal recycling or waste management industry.
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of skip loading systems and other heavy machinery.
