This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of the practice and delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Handling incoming phone calls, scheduling appointments and managing inquiries.
- Updating and maintaining patient records securely and accurately.
- Processing repeat prescriptions and other administrative tasks.
- Assisting with ad-hoc duties to support the practice team.
- Ensuring patients are checked in and directed to the appropriate clinician efficiently.
- Previous experience working in a Primary Care setting is essential.
- Proficiency with GP practice systems (e.g., EMIS, SystmOne, or Vision) is highly desirable.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and any relevant background checks must be in place.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and patient-focused approach to delivering service.
