We are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Wednesbury for a Vehicle Quality Checker to assist them through their peak period.   You will be working for a company that are a leading retail giant supplying technology, service and support to its customers.   You will be based in their customer service and distribution centre.

As part of a very small team it will be your role to ensure that all the vehicles are at their highest standards inside and out. This will entail spot checking vehicles on their return to depot for any damage, litter etc. You will be reporting directly into the Operations Manager and be given full training on their in-house systems in order for your to be able to account for any Scrap items that should be on the vehicle to be returned to the depot.  Any tools that have been on the vehicle also need to be accounted for.

The vehicles on the back and in the cab should be returned to the depot in the standard that is expected; you will be provided with a full check list to enable you to know what you are required to report back on.  You will be expected to take photographs to be able to evidence your inspection/assessment of the vehicles.

The hours of work will be 12.00 mid-day through to 9.00pm on a rotational shift of 4 days on 4 off over a 7 day period; weekend working will be essential.  

Safety boots and a hi-vis vest are essential for this role.

The rate of pay will be £11.50 per hour.  This is a new role beginning as soon as possible until at least January 2025; it may go beyond that time for the right candidate/s.
