Senior Design Manager

Location: Wolverhampton, UK

Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: Up to £85k plus competitive Car Allowance 

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Manager to join our team in Wolverhampton. In this role, you will oversee the design and technical aspects of projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery. This role focusses on Sustainable Living Spaces. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage design processes and teams.
  • Ensure regulatory and company compliance throughout projects.
  • Manage design programmes and approvals.
  • Conduct site visits and attend meetings as needed.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of construction regulations and building codes.
  • Proven experience in residential building design.
  • Ability to lead and manage the Building Regulations and Planning & Design function, acting as the designated individual for each allocated HRB project.
  • Monitor design work for regulatory compliance and establish scoping of designers.
  • Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and the HRB Procedure Regulations.
Desirable Skills:
  • Passion for construction and creating sustainable communities.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or Revit).
