Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: West Midlands

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (Monday to Thursday) 8:30am - 4:30pm (Friday)
Lunch: 1 hour (flexible, take it as and when to reset and recharge)

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join a esteemed team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business growth through business development and account management. This position demands a proven track record in building a pipeline, exceptional business development skills, and outstanding account management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key customers.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Ensure timely and accurate follow-up on quotes and customer inquiries.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Generate sales from an extensive list of prospects and nurture these relationships.
  • Target fabrication businesses and manage a customer base of over 1000, bringing them back on board.
  • Introduce the company to new customers and manage your own schedule while on the road.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in the steel industry, particularly with steel flat products.
  • Open to candidates with nonferrous distributor experience.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and account management.
  • Proactive and driven mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • Flexible, motivated, and able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
