ABC Teachers are seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join a primary school in the Walsall area. The successful candidate will work closely with students, staff, and families to ensure that all pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive the support and resources they need to succeed.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision, ensuring that all pupils receive appropriate, high-quality support.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualised education plans (EHCPs) for students with SEND.
  • Support classroom teachers to differentiate lessons and incorporate inclusive strategies to meet diverse needs.
  • Liaise with external agencies, specialists, and parents to create tailored support plans.
  • Track and assess the progress of SEND students, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
  • Provide staff training and guidance on SEND best practices to support whole-school inclusion.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and experience with creating and implementing EHCP's.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external partners.
  • Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
