Location: Wednesbury, West MidlandsRole: Full-Time, Long-TermStart Date: ASAPAspire are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a fantastic primary school in Wednesbury. The successful candidate will support children with a range of special educational needs (SEN), providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and succeed in their learning. Personal care will also be a key aspect of this role.Key Responsibilities:* Provide one-on-one and group support to students with a variety of SEN, including learning disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities.* Assist with personal care needs such as toileting, feeding, and moving and handling, in line with students' individual requirements.* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and ensuring the learning environment is inclusive for all students.* Help students to develop independence and social skills within both classroom and playground settings.* Monitor and record students' progress, and share observations with the SENCO and teaching staff.* Work closely with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to support the needs of the students.Requirements:* Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential, preferably within a primary school setting.* Comfortable with providing personal care when required.* A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with children.* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.* A DBS check will be required (can be arranged if necessary).Hours:* Full-time, 5 days a week (term-time only).This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic primary school where you will make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.To Apply: This is an excellent opportunity to secure a full-time post starting as soon as possible.
