We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker / Bench Hand to join our busy, ISO9001 accredited manufacturing organization.
The position offers a competitive salary of £34,500, along with paid overtime and a friendly supportive team environment.
Candidates should have proven experience in toolmaking or as a bench hand, with a strong understanding of machining techniques and materials.
Responsibilities include manufacturing, assembling, and maintaining precision tools, as well as collaborating with engineers to ensure quality.
This is a days role with 33 days of holiday included, and applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manufacture, assemble, and maintain precision tools, jigs, and fixtures
Interpret technical drawings and specifications with precision
Perform hand-finishing and polishing of components for a flawless finish
Collaborate with engineers and machinists to ensure top-tier quality
Troubleshoot and repair tooling to maintain smooth production flow
Happy to work a Days role

REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience in toolmaking or as a bench hand
Ability to hand tools and measurement instruments
Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Strong understanding of machining techniques and materials
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent teamwork skills
To be able to work from engineering drawings
