We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machinery to fabricate and assemble high-quality sheet metal components. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment to ensure precision and efficiency in production.
Responsibilities
- Operate laser cutting machines to fabricate sheet metal parts according to specifications.
- Assemble components using hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during the fabrication process.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Grind and weld components as necessary, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operating laser cutting machinery or similar equipment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand tooling and assembly processes.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and performing basic welding tasks.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are essential.
