Are you skilled and knowledgeable in the world of laboratory analysis and quality control and do you enjoy baking? We're looking for Test Baker/Quality Controller to join our client's team and make a real impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out accurate and reproducible test bakes
- Analysing test bakes
- Testing the colour, moisture, texture, and chemical composition of our products.
- Conducting daily equipment checks and meticulously recording results.
- Organizing and maintaining our library of samples.
- Reviewing and signing off critical documentation to uphold our quality standards.
- Handling ingredient certification with precision.
- Conducting moisture and chemical testing.
- Accurately recording and analysing data.
- Grasping the bigger picture from raw ingredient intake to finished goods dispatch.
- Assisting in complaint investigations and solving challenges.
- Professionalism in both behaviour and appearance.
- The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, as well as lab safety policies.
- A keen interest in staying up-to-date with developments in analytical chemistry.

- A degree or equivalent in a Food-related field (Desirable).
- Specialized training in HACCP (Intermediate Level) and Internal Auditing.
- Computer literacy (Desirable).
- At least 1 year of relevant technical experience (Essential).
- Prior experience in analytical laboratory environments (Essential).
- Experience with GCMS or other analytical techniques is a plus.
