Role Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the classroom, providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Assist teachers in implementing individualized learning plans.
- Provide one-to-one and group support for students with additional learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting observations to the teaching staff.
- Assist with classroom preparation and resource development.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment
What Were Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, with experience in a school setting.
- An understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and strategies for support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school.
