An opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join a Special Needs School in Welling, Bexley on a full-time basis to support students across the school.

 

The Role

In this role you will be supporting various pupils across the school on both a 1 to 1 and small group basis. All students at the school have EHCPs and have struggled within mainstream settings due to their special educational needs. You will work closely with the teaching and wider staff team to provide support for the students within classes, school activities and specialist and intervention sessions.

The School

This Independent Special Needs School provides a specialist education for 40 young people aged between 7 and 19 within the borough of Bexley. All pupils attending the school hold an EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan) and have special educational needs. The school offers small classes or one to one learning in which the curriculum is tailored to the needs of the individual. There is a dedicated staff team in place at the school headed up by an established leadership team. There are good training and development opportunities within the school.

The school are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to start immediately or as soon as possible. This is a full-time role which is offered on a contract basis until the end of the academic year.
