A small one-form entry school in Bexley are looking for a qualified teacher to join their school to teach in the specialist resource provision from March 2025

The Role

In this role you will take on class teaching responsibility for a class of 5 children who are working at National Curriculum Year 2.  All pupils have moderate learning disabilities and are mixed age 11-14 with ASD/ADHD.

The school are open to applications from teachers with previous experience teaching within a special needs school and qualified primary teachers looking to move in to teaching within a special needs classroom.

This one-form entry school in based In Bexley and is easily accessible by car, with good local transport links. The school is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted and prides itself on ensuring all pupils are fully supported to becoming confident learners through a rounded and exciting curriculum. Pupils in the school are well behaved and engaged in learning and there is a strong culture of Inclusion and Integration. Staff in the schools are provided with high quality continuous professional development to further career development, including leadership at all levels which includes enrolment on the NPQ programmes.

Alongside the mainstream primary school, there is a specialist resource provision for 40 children with an EHCP with moderate learning difficulties. The school is well-resourced and includes a forest school, large outdoor areas, Sensory Room, Rainforest Room, Therapy Room, Speech and Language Therapist, Learning Mentors and a minibus for internal trips.

This role will be offered on a temp to perm basis and will be paid to scale from day 1 of the contract.
