Accounts Assistant

39.5 hours Monday - Friday

We are a growing family run business based in Wellingborough, providing commercial catering equipment facilities support to well-known National brands. As a company led by family values, we foster a friendly, collaborative environment where every team member’s input matters.

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Accounts Assistant to work as part of our accounts team to deliver key sales, purchase and general accounts administration.

As a confident communicator you will be able to build natural rapport with colleagues, clients, supplier, and engineers. You will be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills and collaborative approach along with good all-round general accounts experience.

Key Responsibilities

Sales ledger - credit control, sales invoicing, client reporting, cash allocation and client queries.

Purchase ledger - manage supplier accounts sage, posting invoicing, queries management, reconciling and purchase order processing.

General - banking administration/reconciling, client and supplier reporting, expenses, inbox management, filing.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Experienced in all aspects of sales and purchase ledger.
  • An ability to learn quickly and retain information.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Can demonstrate previous problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Office 365, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • A willingness to work as part of a small team.
  • A flexible approach to the role and a willingness to take on new tasks as the business grows.
  • Ideally you will have experience with Sage Accounts.
