Building Control Surveyor

Kettering - 3 months initial contract

Our client is looking to secure the services for a Building Control Surveyor for an initial 3 months period. As a Building Contro Surveyor you will be primarily responsible to carry out the full range of Building Control surveying activities including site inspections and plan appraisals, investigating dangerous structures, responding to customer enquiries, coordinating statutory consultations, demolitions, liaising with experts, internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • To proactively manage contravening building works and enforce the requirements of the building regulations through effective enforcement in line with service policies and procedures and the Operational Standards Rules published by the Building Safety Regulator. To investigate alleged breaches of building regulations, gather evidence and attend court as required.
  • To maintain detailed accurate records of casework undertaken and involvement in projects in line with performance standards and Operational Standards Rules published by the Building Safety Regulator.
  • To follow the approved processes and procedures of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System accreditation process and/or other initiatives to ensure a consistently high quality of service delivery to service users.
  • To ensure legislative deadlines for issuing notices and certificates are met relevant to the work undertaken by the postholder.

The client is looking for someone who has a minimum of 3 years experience within a similar postion.
