Company Profile

Our client is seeking someone to operate bothCNC Milling Machines and Lathesto join their friendly organisation based in Wellingborough on a permanent basis. Under limited supervision you will be responsible for machining predominantly 1 off parts to design specifications. This role will be suitable for someone just starting out in their CNC career as full training will be provided for the right candidate, however, at least some experience programming CNC lathes or millsis required.

In this CNC role, you will be responsible for:

  • Machine standard and bespoke components for various machines.
  • Machine parts using CNC lathes and mills.
  • Keeping records of time and material used on jobs.
  • Support engineering and production with any changes to machine build.
  • Support engineering with parts for research and development.

To be successful as a CNC Operator you will have:

  • Some experience in programming using Fanuc or Siemens - full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
  • Knowledge of working with Prototract, SLX, Siemens, Shopmill (would be an advantage but again, training will be provided)
  • Read mechanical drawings.
  • Mechanical skills.
  • General problem-solving skills and practical aptitude.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and display a willingness to learn and put skills into practice.
  • Excellent communication.
  • A general interest in engineering and wanting to learn and develop in this environment.
