Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to build a career in logistics and stock control? Impact Recruitment are seeking a Storesperson to join our client in Irthlingborough and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse and inventory system.

About the Role:

As a Storesperson, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing goods, stock management and ensuring accurate record-keeping in line with the company's ISO 9001 quality system. This is a hands-on role where precision and efficiency are key to maintaining the high standards of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect and record incoming goods, ensuring packaging and contents are intact.
  • Check received goods against supplier delivery notes and verify quantities.
  • Accurately book stock into the SAP system and allocate storage locations.
  • Pick and pack goods for dispatch and manufacturing as per picking lists.
  • Label and package products correctly, following any special packaging instructions.
  • Ensure all outgoing goods have correct address labels and necessary documentation.
  • Operate a forklift truck (training provided if necessary).
  • Perform stock checks, identifying and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Manage non-conforming products through the company quarantine system.
  • Assemble kits of parts for production as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse area and company vehicles.
  • Support the Sales Department with issuing samples when needed.
  • Adjust stock discrepancies on SAP in designated warehouses.

About You:

We are looking for a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or logistics environment
  • Experience using SAP or similar stock control systems.
  • A methodical approach to work, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Forklift truck experience.
  • An understanding of health & safety practices in a warehouse environment.
