Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to support students with special educational needs? Our client school is expanding and is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their team at a new site opening in June 2025, just outside Wellingborough.

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide essential classroom support to students with SEN, working in small groups or 1:1 settings, with a maximum of 6 students.
  • Assist teachers in planning, delivering, and managing lessons, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Promote student wellbeing and emotional development, building positive relationships with pupils.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a safe, nurturing space for learning.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday (Term Time Only):
    • 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (3 days/week)
    • 8:30 am - 2:45 pm (1 day/week)
    • 8:30 am - 3:15 pm (1 day/week)

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 GCSE qualifications or equivalents (Maths and English essential)
  • Experience in classroom
  • Experience in planning
  • Over 18
  • Experience in behaviour
  • Understanding of SEN and management individual needs of students
  • Understanding of behaviour

Desirable Criteria:

  • Qualification / training in SEN
  • Experience in Phonics
  • First aid trained
  • TA Qualification preferred, experience in other settings will be considered.

Salary:
This position offers a non-pro-rata salary split into 12 equal monthly payments throughout the year.
