Quality ManagerWellingboroughSalary to £55kOur client is a renowned provider of engineering, repair, and logistics solutions for global brands, and with a brand new site opening in Wellingborough they are now looking to recruit an experienced Quality Manager on a permanent basis.Known for its commitment to excellence, our client supports the entire product lifecycle, from initial design through to technical support and refurbishment programmes. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a candidate to establish and maintain high standards of quality in alignment with their reputation for innovation and reliability.Role Overview:The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality management on site, ensuring compliance with internal/company's operational standards and ISO 9001/14001 certifications. Collaborating with leadership, this role will implement safe, efficient processes, manage internal and external audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager will also focus on developing a high-performing Quality team that adapts to our clent's evolving client requirements.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and oversee internal, supplier, and customer audits; report findings and drive corrective actions
  • Lead and support the Quality team in quality control, risk assessment, team development, and succession planning
  • Ensure SOPs remain current, accurate, and compliant with customer and ISO 9001/14001 requirements
  • Manage the annual audit schedule, ensuring adherence to customer, legislative, and internal specifications
  • Analyse and reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) using Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Serve as the technical lead for New Product Introductions, establishing quality standards from the outset
  • Interface directly with customers to understand requirements and develop sustainable quality solutions
  • Collaborate with suppliers to continually improve quality across the extended supply chain
  • Document PFMEA for all site processes, utilising risk insights to drive performance improvements
About you ...The successful candidate will ideally hold a degree and have 5+ years of experience in leading quality-focused teams, with a strong track record in ISO accreditation, internal audits, and continuous quality improvement methods, such as FMEA, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto Analysis.Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in continuous improvement (CI/Kaizen) methods
  • Commercial acumen and strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities across all levels
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to other locations on short notice
