WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 6:00-14:30 OR 14:30-23:00 (TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE)

£14.42 PER HOUR BASIC

£23.94 PER HOUR OVERTIME

People Solutions are looking for two Warehouse Team Leaders to work for our client based in Raunds.

This is a real opportunity to be part of a warehouse team where you will get to experience a diverse range of activities, working in a dedicated environment.

Day to Day Duties

As a Warehouse Goods In Team Leader, your main tasks and duties will be to:

  • Supervise and manage the Goods In and the Pick and Pack Teams, ensuring effective operation and productivity
  • Provide training, guidance and support to team members, promoting a positive work culture
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and set individual and team goals
  • Oversee all activities related to receiving goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure that all incoming shipments are checked for quality and quantity against purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Organize and coordinate the unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and storage
  • Determine if the received stock is required for replenishment or bulk storage
  • Maintain accurate records of received goods in the inventory management system
  • Ensure all systems and documentation have been updated and generate required reports
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Develop and implement efficient processes for the receiving area to improve work flow and reduce delays
  • Identify opportunities for improving procedures and making recommendations to management
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in the Goods In area
  • Ensure all staff members have been adequately trained with regards to the safety procedures (Manual Handling / Conveyor System)
  • Conduct safety training for team members and promote a culture of safety
  • Present performance metrics and analysis to management during regular meetings
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding any issues or challenges related to the receiving process
  • Collaborate with other warehouse teams to ensure smooth transitions of goods throughout the facility

Essential Skills

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will need to have:

  • Experience in a similar role 
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience in team management
  • Highly motivated to achieve KPIs and contribute towards company objectives
  • Exceptional organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication, analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts
  • Good IT and computer skills, knowledge of applications and other industry-specific software/ systems
  • Knowledge of the industry's best practices

Desirable Experience

  • Two years’ experience working as a Warehouse Supervisor/Team Leader would be desirable
