About the Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced Factory manager to oversee operations ensuring the efficient and productive storing, reconditioning and distributing of finished goods. Supervise the distribution of forming systems in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain oversight of the factory planning and scheduling functions. Manage daily work schedules to ensure on time, accurate delivery of equipment, ensuring customer requirements are met. Recommend, approve and implement changes in procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the factory activities by monitoring productivity and daily work schedules for shipping, receiving, reconditioning and storage of products.
- Oversee objectives, percentage of lease pool equipment reconditioned, status of damaged beyond repair and unreturned equipment.
- Safety and quality objectives.
- Ensure factory workloads run at full capacity.
- Maintain oversight of equipment returns and ensure compliance with return procedures.
- Conducts direct customer contacts for damaged and unreturned equipment.
- Manage trucking and shipping operations. Conducts daily equipment reallocation as necessary to maximize lease pool utilization and minimize freight expense.
- Ensure shipment coordination and adjustments with internal and external customers.
- Lead and direct administrative functions.
- Train and develop new and current employees, employee reviews and development planning.
- Inspect materials produced to ensure quality.
- Inventory accuracy, spacing requirements for storage and ensure compliance with storage, equipment palletizing, standard bundle quantities and banding procedures.
- Coordinate and review safety and environmental issues for the factory and office facilities.
- Ensure maintenance of equipment and a safe, clean environment.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects including but not limited to coordinating exports and imports to and from international operations or customers and managing customs and forwarding matters
About You:
- College degree or equivalent Qualifications.
- Management experience in manufacturing or distribution.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, organizational skills.
- Must work effectively under pressure, exercise good judgment, and be a good negotiator.
- A good team player who can inspire and motivate those around them.
