Job Title: Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) Manager

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Salary: 40,000 + Bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday - 0740 to 1655

Are you an experienced Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment professional with a strong track record in manufacturing and a hands-on approach to driving safety, compliance, and quality standards? Impact Recruitment are working on behalf of a company with a rich history and a global presence, as we seek a talented QSHE Manager to lead safety and quality initiatives and play a key role in their ongoing growth.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the QSHE Manager will oversee the company's quality, safety, health and environmental compliance programs. Your main responsibilities will include ensuring employee safety, leading accident investigations, managing customer complaint responses and driving a quality culture throughout the organisation. This role will also focus on reducing environmental impact and leading QSHE oversight during the introduction of new products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve compliance with ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits and manage accident investigations to ensure employee safety.
  • Oversee quality assurance across all business processes, fostering a proactive culture of quality.
  • Drive environmental sustainability efforts, reducing waste, improving energy use and promoting renewable materials.
  • Address customer complaints with root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

About You:

You're a proven QSHE professional with substantial experience in Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental management - especially within the production and manufacturing sectors. Skilled in audit, compliance and quality control, you bring a results-driven approach and are ready to make a tangible difference in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Proven experience managing Quality and Environmental Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
  • Auditing expertise, with experience in conducting and leading audits.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills; Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Solid background in process improvement, defect analysis, and root-cause investigation.
  • IT proficiency, particularly in MS Office.
