About the Role

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead our integration strategy, ensuring efficient and scalable connections between various systems and technologies. This role emphasizes the technical and back-end aspects of product management rather than front-facing responsibilities. You will oversee technical integrations, manage vendor relationships, and lead a team to maximize the value of existing products while exploring potential alternatives (e.g., considering replacements for SSIS integrations).

Your leadership and strategic direction will enable the effective use of existing technologies, drive efficiency across our IT landscape, and support the transition of technical tasks to empower greater managerial oversight.

What We Offer:
  • Up to £65k basic salary
  • Discretionary bonus scheme based on company and personal performance (usually around 10-12%)
  • Hybrid work arrangement 1 day a week in the Northampton office
  • Pension scheme 5% employer and 5% employee contribution
  • Company shares scheme opportunity to buy shares at a discounted rate
  • Life Assurance
  • 33 days of holidays (including bank holidays)
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Benefits portal with discounts from leading brands
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Integration Leadership
  • Oversee technical integrations and explore potential replacements, ensuring the best use of existing products.
  • Lead the integration platform strategy, focusing on technical execution and back-end solutions.
  • Manage technical backlogs and contribute to cross-functional requirements without direct hands-on development.
  • Support a transition to delegate technical tasks, allowing for enhanced managerial oversight.
Supplier & Vendor Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to maximize product value.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to evaluate and integrate external solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead a team of two, ensuring effective communication and performance management.
  • Act as a key liaison between IT and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong technical understanding of system integrations and the ability to stitch together various technologies.
  • Experience managing teams and product backlogs, ensuring efficient prioritization and delivery.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms and related tech stacks (EDIFACT, XML, JSON, CSV using various protocols like API, SOAP, FTP, AS2, etc.)
  • Proven experience in managing vendor relationships to enhance product value.
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on technical execution rather than hands-on development.
Desirable Skills:
  • Exposure to API management, middleware solutions, and automation tools.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and backlog management.
  • Knowledge of IT governance, compliance, and DevOps practices within integration environments.
