- To create material requirement plan based on historical spare part consumption analysis
- To place daily purchase/call off orders to the supplier and follow up the fulfilment of them
- To handle DOA and return component process with the supplier
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, and monitor supplier performance
- To highlight to production any supply issues/constraints and advise on recovery if available.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering and Project teams and support new product implementation such as end-of-life or last time buy process
- Communicate with supply chain, production leads, supervisors, and accounting to resolve process and cost issues
- Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Guidelines.
- To monitor excess and obsolete inventory ensuring maximise inventory turns.
- Act professionally, fairly and with integrity in all business dealings and relationships
- To provide cover for all the team where appropriate.
- Must be qualified to or working towards Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification.
- Proven experience in a materials planning, purchasing role in a Supply chain, logistics or warehousing environment.
- Knowledge and experience of ERP or SAP systems
- High level of computer literacy, to include Advanced Excel and Outlook.
- Strong credibility with confidence and personal skills to develop good relationships
- Proven ability to work in a pressurised environment.
