CMM Programmer / Quality Technician - Days

Shifts: 40 hours a week Mon-Thurs (phone number removed)pm and Fri 7.30am to 1.30pm

Salary: Starting from 18 p/h

The Company:

A global manufacturer specialising in precision engineered parts for multiple industries including aerospace/automotive.

CMM Programmer / Setter / Operator Responsibilities:

Operate CMM machine using established programs, as well as creating new programs using PCDMIS software.

  • Perform dimensional inspection on product using CMM, Verniers, micrometres and height gauges.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection on product per procedures.
  • Perform first off inspection and in-process inspections.
  • Ensure all First Article Inspection (FAI) packages are properly completed.

Develop and modify CMM measurement programs using appropriate software. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create accurate measurement routines.

Essential Skills of a CMM Programmer / Setter:

  • Ability to effectively read and understand drawings, engineering documents, purchase orders, inspection manuals and procedures.
  • Strong background programming and operating coordinate measuring machines using PC-DMIS software.
  • Strong metrology, drawing reading, and GD&T interpretation skills.
  • Must be familiar with AS9102 Form and First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • Must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of related aerospace ISO and AS requirements.
  • Must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometres and verniers.
