The client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established, growing Material Handling firm based in Wellingborough on their search for an electromechanical engineer to join their growing team. Our client offers materials Handling Equipment to clients all over the country and they are now looking for a workshop engineer to join their busy team at their Wellingborough site.

The package:

  • 33 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Overtime available at 1.5X after 40 hours (£21-£24 per hour)
  • Plenty of overtime available per week (average availability is 5-10 hours) Min (5 hours): Additional £5,460pa / Average (10 hours) : Additional £10,920pa
  • Ongoing commitment to training and progression

The Duties:

  • Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with customers surrounding the lifting and handling products.
  • The ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
  • Working on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
  • Working with other engineers on the team to maintain and repair forklifts and plant machinery.

The Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)
  • Previous experience working in the Forklift, Plant, HGV and/or Agricultural industries (advantageous)
  • Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Full UK Drivers License
