Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Wellingborough (Hybrid Working)
Salary: 30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday (Days)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Management Dashboard:Assist with the creation of the monthly management dashboard, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Budgeting:Support the yearly budgeting process, including data analysis and preparation of reports.
- Efficiency Calculations:Prepare efficiency calculations to support business performance reviews.
- Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) Tax:Take ownership of construction industry scheme tax obligations in the UK and ROI, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- External Audit:Assist the team with the yearly external audit, including gathering and organising required documentation.
- Internal Audits:Support the team with six-monthly internal audits to ensure compliance and process efficiency.
- Supplier Accounts:Manage key supplier accounts, resolving any issues and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Manual Bank Payments:Prepare and process manual bank payments as requested.
- Overseas Payments:Assist with the overseas payment process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- (GRNI) Account:Perform monthly analysis of the GRNI account, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues.
- Sales Invoices:Raise and process sales invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
- Accuracy & Attention to Detail:Strong focus on accuracy and ability to spot errors quickly.
- Communication Skills:Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player:Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Industry Knowledge:Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Microsoft Navision:Previous experience with Microsoft Navision is preferred but not essential.
- US GAAP:Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards is an advantage.
- MS Office:Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
