TimePlan Education is currently working with a couple of schools in the Wellingborough area seeking some HLTAs for their SEND schools. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or aspiring Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join thier team of passionate and energetic staff to support high quality teaching and learning across the schools.


A successful HLTA will be someone who:

Demonstrate their ability to work both as a member of a team and individually

Can demonstrate an awareness of the needs of our students

Has a good level of education with appropriate literacy and numeracy skills

Possess good communication skills both verbally and written

A positive attitude and drive are also very important to us. You will be expected to provide cover for absent colleagues at short notice and be confident in working with a variety of people. Key attributes for this role are reliability and flexibility.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and adults alike
  • Experience working within education
  • Ability to educate and inspire young learners through creative teaching methods
  • Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for working with children who have diverse learning needs within mainstream and SEND environments
  • Previous experience working with children in various settings is advantageous
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed in their educational journey.
