Residential Support Worker for Children and Young People - Wellingborough, Northamptonshire (Driver Required)
Salary: 25,500

They are now seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join their team. After recently opening their first home, my client will be growing considerably in 2025. Role Overview:
- Providing 24-hour care, for Children/Young People (8-18 yrs) with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and/or learning disabilities.
- Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with various needs, including behavioural support, mental health, non-verbal communication, and learning difficulties.
- Providing advice, care, and stability for all young people, ensuring fair and equal treatment.
- Support clients in daily activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and household chores.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and other professionals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided.
Requirements:
Essential
- Experience in monitoring service delivery and meeting short term objectives
- A minimum of 12 months Children's Residential Experience
- NVQ level 3 in Childrens Services or the willing to complete your NVQ Level 3 after your first 6 months
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills (touchscreen devices, computers).
- First Aid Certificate
- Flexible, resilient and adaptable in a highly interchangeable environment
