Our client, a leading name in the food manufacturing industry, is on the hunt for a Shift Engineer to join their team at their Northamptonshire based site.
This role, is an opportunity to make a real impact on production efficiency and quality in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
As part of the engineering team, you'll be the go-to person for maintaining and enhancing production equipment to ensure the smoothest operations possible.


What You'll Be Doing

  • From maintaining machinery to proactive troubleshooting, you'll ensure production runs without a hitch.
  • Work closely with departments across the site, from production and planning to quality assurance, to support their engineering needs.
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects, reduce downtime, and contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Perform all maintenance activities with the utmost respect for product quality and safety standards.
  • Fault-find, diagnose, and swiftly address issues while keeping detailed records.


What You'll Bring:
To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • An apprenticeship in engineering and a formal electrical qualification (minimum ONC level or level 3).
  • Proven experience in a food manufacturing setting or FMCG can be considered.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
