I am working with an independent, alternative provision that is seeking a Tutor/Teacherto join their team on a permanent basis.
This school specialises in working with students with challenging behaviour who are unable to attend mainstream education. Their focus is to help their students develop the skills required to find future employment and reach their full potential.
As a Tutor/ Teacher you will be required to plan, deliver and mark learning for classes of 6 students. There will also be some 1:1 teaching when required in English, Maths & Life Skills.
A successful canddiate applying for the Tutor/ Teacher role will have:
- Experience in delivering lessons to classes of students
- Planning and marking experience
- 5 GCSE qualifications or the equivalent - must include Maths and English
- Understanding of SEN
- Behaviour management experience
- Understanding of safeguarding in schools
- Positive mind-set and resilience
You will be the ideal candidate if you also have:
- Understanding and adapting schemes of work
- Qualifications in behaviour management
- Training and awareness in school attendance
- Training in date collection and trackers
- First Aid trained
- Skills or hobbies that could be shown and taught in Enrichment activities
- Experience in developing student wellbeing and awareness of mental health
- Qualification/training in SEN
- Experience in Toe by Toe
