Service Technician

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of boilers and heating systems in caravans and motorhomes. You will also carry out winterising procedures to ensure optimal performance during colder months. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in heating systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for providing high-quality service to our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

Boiler Maintenance: Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, servicing, and maintenance of Alde heating systems in caravans and motorhomes.

Troubleshooting & Fault Diagnosis: Identify issues with heating systems, including boilers and associated components, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

Winterisation Services: Perform winterisation procedures for heating systems, ensuring systems are ready for the colder months and preventing freeze damage.

Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, explaining issues and repairs to clients in a clear, professional manner.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and relevant standards, including LPG safety.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate service records and ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications & Skills:

Driving License: Must hold a valid C or C1 driving licence.

Certifications: Must be either LPG Gas Safe or STGW (System Technician Gas Safe Working) certified.

Experience: Previous experience working with heating systems or similar heating technologies is preferred, but not essential.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and heating systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair heating faults.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in a clear and approachable manner.

Physical Ability: Capable of working in varying conditions, including lifting and working in confined spaces (such as within caravans and motorhomes).

Attention to Detail: Ability to identify problems accurately and efficiently, ensuring repairs are carried out to the highest standard.

Desirable:

Experience working with caravan or motorhome heating systems is a plus.

Previous experience in a customer-facing role.

The hours are Monday to Thursday 8:15am to 4:45pm and Friday 8:30am to 1pm
