MOT Tester / Vehicle Mechanic / Technician who has a valid MOT Tester qualification with strong communication and customer service skills is required for a well-established, small, independent garage based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, East Midlands.
SALARY: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum + Benefits (Company Pension, On-Site Parking, 20 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays)
LOCATION: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, East Midlands
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 8am 5:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am 5pm Friday. NO Weekends Day Shift
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an MOT Tester / Vehicle Mechanic / Technicianwho has a valid MOT Tester qualification with strong communication and customer service skills.
Working as a qualified and experienced MOT Tester you will work on a Class 4 one-person test lane, conduction MOT tests in accordance with VOSA / DVSA guidelines, ensuring vehicles meet the required safety and environmental standards.
When not MOT testing you will support the garage by working as a Vehicle Mechanic / Technician and carry out repairs and servicing on a wide range of vehicles or all ages.

DUTIES
Your duties as the MOT Tester / Vehicle Mechanic / Technician include:
- Conducting MOT tests in accordance with VOSA/DVSA guidelines
- Performing vehicle servicing and repairs to a high standard
- Fitting tyres and ensuring correct tyre pressures
- Diagnosing vehicle faults
- Completing VOSA administration and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle faults
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional attitude at all times
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- MOT Tester certified (Class 4)
- Proven experience in vehicle servicing and repairs
- Proficiency in tyre fitting
- Strong understanding of VOSA / DVSA regulations and requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
