Hours Monday to Friday 40 hours per week- 8am to 6pm/ 8:30 to 5:30pm/8am to 5pm
Smart Education is supporting a Nursery within the Telford area in hiring a Qualified Nursery Nurse to join their team on a Permanent basis. This OFSTED rated Good nursery is a beautiful setting with a large garden area big enough for all children.
They are looking for a friendly, approachable and committed individual with a big passion in helping children with their individual learning development.
Job responsibilities:
. To input and assist with the planning of the curriculum
. To help to set up the playroom for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session
. To act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met
. To advise the leader/deputy of any concerns e.g. over children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
. To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation
. To input and attend staff meetings
. To attend in-service training courses and meetings as required
. To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff that is acquired as part of the job
Job Requirements of this Nursery Nurse role:
· Must have a minimum of a level 2 Diploma in Childcare/Early Years
· Must have at least 6 months experience within the last 2 years working in nurseries.
· Must be able to work with all age groups of children from ages 0-5 years.
· Must be committed and motivated to work with children.
. Must be willing to learn and undertake professional development.
· Must have be flexible in hours and duties in order to meet the needs and requirements of the nursery.
Desirable Criteria:
. Full and valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
. Full and valid Food Hygiene certificate
