Job Summary:
We are seeking to hire a detail-oriented and experiencedEstimatorto join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for interior fit-out projects, working closely with the design, project management, and procurement teams. The Estimator will play a critical role in ensuring project budgets are well-planned and competitive, aligning with client requirements and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain competitive pricing and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare detailed BOQs (Bills of Quantities), cost breakdowns, and tender submissions.
- Evaluate and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value.
- Collaborate with the design and project management teams to optimize project budgets without compromising quality.
- Identify potential risks and provide cost-effective solutions to mitigate them.
- Assist in value engineering and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Keep up-to-date with market trends, material costs, and industry standards.
- Support the business development team with budget estimates for proposals and bids.
- Ensure all estimates comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the interior fit-out, construction, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of materials, subcontractor pricing, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills for supplier and client interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations.
- A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
