Stick Welder (MMA, PLATE, CARBON STEEL)

Somerset, TA5 Area

Start - ASAP

Contract - Long term working 10 on 4 off

Responsibilities;

  • Work on structural steel of varying grades and thicknesses with the MMA welding process
  • Assemble components by welding and working to tolerance specification.
  • Complete a range of weld types but in particular fillet welding and butt welding consisting of both full penetration and partial penetration joints.

Requirements:

  • C&G Formal fabrication/craft apprenticeship, or NVQ Level 2 equivalent.
  • CCNSG or CSCS Weder/Fabricator Skills Card
  • MMA (Stick( Welding Certs
  • CCNSG - Safety Passport-This can be superseded with CSCS.
  • Experience of heavy fabrication, both structural steelwork and plate work.
  • Welding experience on Nuclear, Marine, Oil & Gas and offshore industry.
