Your new companyA not-for-profit organisation near Wells are recruiting a Part Time Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. Within this role you will be responsible for assisting with a variety of day-to-day financial operations such as sales and purchase ledgers, as well as assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts. Your new roleWorking alongside the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Processing and coding invoices
  • Preparing payment runs
  • Updating and maintaining spreadsheets
  • Processing expenses
  • Bank account reconciliation
  • Assisting in monthly management account preparation
  • Journal posting
  • Assisting in yearly budget preparation
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns

What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role. You will work well in a team as well as being able to work independently. AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable.What you'll get in return
