Group Financial Controller
OA are working with a leading international access provider, looking to recruit a Group Financial Controller to join their team in Welwyn Garden City. This role is ideal for an ambitious, fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA professional, offering excellent opportunities for progression within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
• Salary: £75,000 - £85,000
• Location: Welwyn Garden City

Group Financial Controller – Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director and board of directors.
• Supporting the GFD in developing and enhancing the finance function.
• Consolidating group accounts and commercial data across UK, Ireland, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
• Preparing consolidated year-end statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors.
• Producing monthly management accounts, KPIs, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Conducting commercial analysis, including cost base, contracts, and margin insights.
• Managing cashflow forecasting and CAPEX tracking.
• Overseeing balance sheet reviews, VAT preparation, and payroll processing as needed.
• Liaising with international auditors and banks, with occasional overseas travel.
• Providing ad hoc project support and full oversight of day-to-day finance operations.

Group Financial Controller – Skills and Experience:

• Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA professional.
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, driven approach.
• Prior accounting experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of COINS software is advantageous.
