Management Accountant

OA are working with a leading international access provider, looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their busy accounts team at their Head Office in Welwyn Garden City. This role is ideal for an ACCA, ACA, or CIMA finalist or professional-level candidate looking to grow their career in a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
  • Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
  • Location: Welwyn Garden City

Management Accountant – Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
  • Prepare and post monthly prepayments and accruals.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and inter-company transaction reconciliations.
  • Complete VAT returns (monthly and quarterly).
  • Process payroll for weekly employees.
  • Handle bank and revenue reconciliations.
  • Assist with sales and purchase ledger processing when required.
  • Record cash book entries and generate ad hoc reports.
  • Support the production of monthly management accounts and quarterly MI for banks.

Management Accountant – Skills and Experience:

  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA finalist or professional level qualification.
  • Proficiency in Excel with strong analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and able to work on own initiative.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Previous accounting experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of COINS software is advantageous.
