Senior Accountant

This firm is committed to maintaining a professional yet friendly environment where accountants can thrive, take ownership of their work and make a real impact.Responsibilities: Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients, with the majority being limited company small businesses. Industries include construction, manufacturing, recruitment, ecommerce and many more. Utilise Digita for accounts and tax preparation, and Karbon for practice management and workflow. The majority of their clients use Xero and Dext for bookkeeping, with a handful using other software such as Sage and Quickbooks. Provide financial planning, budgeting / forecasting and business advisory services for clients. Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and tax laws. Reviewing VAT returns prepared by juniors/bookkeeping staff. You will be ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (or significant proven experience in a senior accounting role). Extensive experience in practice. Strong knowledge of tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and compliance.
