We are recruiting for a temporary to permanent Business Support Administrator for an engineering business based in Welwyn Garden City.

This an office-based role.

Immediate start required.

Full time hours: Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.30pm - part time will also be considered 3 to 4 day a week - The permanent salary would be between £25000 - £30000.

To join a small office based team the main purpose of the role is to support the smooth coordination and administration of projects, it will involve planning, scheduling and coordinating logistics such as arranging travel and accommodation for site-based staff, supporting the management team and making sure that the office runs smoothly.

Day to Day Duties:

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support - maintaining accurate records.
  • Answer the telephone and responding to emails.
  • Coordinate administrative projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Assisting Project Managers with maintaining documentation.
  • Organise transport and accommodation for team members.
  • Monitor and manage in-box correspondence.
  • Manage diaries and arrange internal and external meetings
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Support basic finance processes such as timesheets and petty cash handling.
  • Update and maintain computerised Information processes
  • Using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Other ad hoc administrative tasks when required.

Person Specification:

  • Strong administrative experience
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
  • Strong IT proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communications skills - both written and oral.
  • Ability to plan tasks effectively and work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Able to use initiative and take ownership of tasks.
