A highly regarded Aerospace business is currently going through a period of growth and has two newly created opportunities within the Quality Division. The first opportunity is for a Quality Engineer which is a critical one for the business. You will be a key part of the Quality department and have an integral input into the future development of the division. Job Summary:
The successful Quality Engineer will be a practically minded individual who will be involved in all aspects of the company's quality activities and contribute to the quality functions, approvals and systems.
Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:
- Supporting the maintenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and quality assurance functions.
- The Quality Engineer will liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related concerns.
- Lead if required external audits from customers, regulatory bodies & interested parties.
- Ensuring that internal and supplier audits are completed to the audit schedule.
- Administering the inspection of parts and the generation of inspection reports and FAIRS.
- Answerable for the Non-Conformance (NC) and Return Material Authorisation (RMA)
- Responsible for generation and maintenance of quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators.
- Report to and deputise for the Quality Director
Requirements:
- Experienced Quality Engineer is required, preferably in the Aerospace/Defence/Automotive industries.
- AS9100/AS9120 experience is preferable (ISO 9001 Minimum).
- Auditing internal/external.
- Problem-solving and root cause investigation techniques.
- Experience with machined parts and associated processes.
- Skilled in reading technical drawings and understand tolerances
