- A HGV class 1 driver is needed for immediate start in Welwyn Garden City, working for a food distribution company trunking between Welwyn and Wembley.
- Shifts are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with potential additional shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 07:30 to 16:15, including a 45-minute break.
- The position offers a salary of £17.50 per hour for the first 8 hours, increasing to £26.25 per hour for any additional hours worked.
- Candidates must have a full CE (class 1) license held for a minimum of 1 year and be 21 years or older, with a maximum of 6 points on their driving record.
- Previous experience in HGV driving is essential and successful candidates should possess a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
As as class 1 driver you will be working for a food distribution company trunking between Welwyn and Wembley.
Shift will be Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's with opportunities for additional shifts when required on Tuesday's and Thursday's.
Hours if work 07:30-16:15 with a 45 minute break.
This position offers a salary of £17.50 per hour with minimum 8 hours per shift
£26.25 per hour after 8 hours
About you:
Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in HGV driving is essential. You must be 21+ to apply for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and adherence to legal and safety requirements.
- Comply with all traffic regulations and company rules and regulations to ensure the highest level of safety at all times.
- Communicate with the transport.
Requirement
Full CE (class 1) licence hold for minimum of 1 year
Maximum 6 points without any bans or disqualifications
