You will work hands-on with coring, drilling, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to assess material properties and structural integrity.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site investigations and structural testing, including GPR, coring, drilling, Schmidt hammer testing, and other NDT techniques.Prepare and maintain testing equipment, ensuring calibration and accuracy before and after use.Work closely with engineers and site managers to ensure testing is carried out efficiently and safely.Collect, document, and report data from field tests for engineers to analyze.Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, especially regarding confined spaces, hazardous environments, and equipment handling.Support and mentor junior team members.Person SpecificationEssential Skills and Attributes:Experience in civil engineering, structural engineering, or construction-related site work.Comfortable with hands-on, physical work in outdoor environments.Basic mechanical or technical knowledge of testing equipment (e.g., drilling, coring, NDT).Ability to work safely in challenging site conditions (e.g., bridges, railways, confined spaces).Strong problem-solving skills when working on-site with unexpected challenges.Team player with good communication skills, able to work with engineers and site managers.Flexibility to travel and stay overnight for projects across the UK and Ireland occasionally.Full UK driving licence (ideally with experience driving vans).Desirable Skills and Attributes:Valid CSCS card or equivalent site-safety qualification.Experience in drilling, coring, or NDT techniques.Confined Spaces Training or willingness to complete training.Rope Access Training or willingness to complete training.First Aid CertificationReady to join a growing company and make a difference?
