My client is seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to join their team, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and strategic alignment of their Trust. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on their schools and the communities they serve by managing budgets, enhancing financial procedures, and navigating audits.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with school leadership to set annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial stability.
  • Provide training to close knowledge gaps and enhance financial acumen across the Trust.
  • Manage and navigate the complexities of financial audits, ensuring compliance and timely responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Stay informed about sector-specific funding and legislative changes to offer valuable financial insights for strategic planning.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in financial procedures and controls, fostering a culture of financial excellence.
  • Regularly visit schools to develop a deep understanding of their unique needs and contribute to policy development and strategic planning.
  • Work collaboratively with the Central Team to enhance systems, policies, and initiatives.
  • Support executive leadership by presenting the Trust’s performance data.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, preferably within the education sector.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and audit management.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage positively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to uphold the Trust’s ethos and actively support its vision and strategic goals.
