Role Overview: As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our Save to Invest plan and crafting strategies for our Transformation programmes. Your insights and analysis will directly contribute to effective decision-making and help drive the business forward towards its strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic insight and analysis to identify and address key opportunities and risks.
  • Develop business cases for People, Finance, and Transformation programmes, including workforce of the future and digital colleague experience.
  • Use financial and commercial expertise to prioritise valuable initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships and trust across teams.
  • Communicate accurate information and manage complex conversations to influence positive outcomes.
  • Ensure robust control and compliance in Head Office activities, safeguarding assets, managing risks, and ensuring reliable reporting.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A and Technology teams to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Lead ad-hoc projects across Procurement and Channels Finance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of a finance manager role.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time, priorities, and engage with business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with both detailed work and high-level summaries.
  • Ideally from a retail background, but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to challenge senior colleagues constructively.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.
