Job Summary

Purchasing various products from a variety of retailers within a 20-mile radius from Welwyn. Be comfortable driving various sized company vans automatic and manual. Ensuring the product transportation, storage and delivery adhere to all required food hygiene regulations. Recordings of items shopped are updated daily on systems. Monies and receipts are processed correctly.

Accountabilities

  • Purchasing samples from stores for product reviews and submissions.
  • Support the business by making accurate comparisons on benchmark products.
  • Responsibility of managing own company card and receipts.
  • Supporting the planning and set up of products to be reviewed.
  • Being an advocate for the Tesco brand & sharing expertise & knowledge through actively participating in internal and external engagement events.
  • Ensuring all food hygiene regulations are always adhered to, using the correct tools & methods in line with the standards set out within the company procedures and maintaining a '5 Star' Food Hygiene Rating where applicable.
  • Conducting visual quality checks on products whilst instore and reporting any issues.
  • Maintaining a wide product knowledge and technical abilities by ensuring you engage in all training opportunities relevant to the role.
  • Supporting and contributing to the delivery of the change programmes in the function.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
  • Updating trackers and communicating any issues to the correct team members.
  • Planning of workday for optimum efficiency.
  • Use of mobile to take photos in store.

Requirements for the role:
