Depot Manager

Saturdays are required however this work tends to be seasonal and are less frequent in the winter months.

This position is hands-on, requiring a candidate who is willing to roll up their sleeves and assist with yard duties as needed. You will be responsible for the profit and loss of the depot, therefore a demonstrable track record of what makes money is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the yard, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate records and availability of materials and order materials when required.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational, scheduling repairs and servicing as needed.
  • Lead and supervise yard staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with yard duties as needed, demonstrating a willingness to contribute to all tasks.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the depot budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities including P&L.

Requirements:

  • Full Clean Driving Licence
  • Class 2 Licence
  • CPC Card
  • Ability to track P&L
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
